Product Description
A tin free, conventional antifouling with a combination of biocides for the protection against fouling for periods up to 24 months in areas with moderate to high fouling pressure. The product can be applied on all Navimar anticorrosive systems. This product does not contain organotin compounds acting as biocides and complies with the International Convention on the Control of Harmful Antifouling Systems on Ships as adopted by IMO October 2001 (IMO document AFS/CONF/26).

(1) The surface should be dry and free from contaminants prior to overcoating.
(2) It is advised to undock the vessel within two days after application of the final layer as prolonged exposure to sunshine might affect the antifouling performance. When in doubt, consult your nearest Navimar office.
Surface Preparation
The surface must be dry and free from fouling, salts and other contaminants. Remove salts and dirt by fresh water washing and hard fouling by scraping. Corroded and damaged areas should be repaired with an appropriate primer system.
Recommended Paint System
Navimar Gold Antifouling 600 can be applied on Navipox TC 206 epoxy tie coat.
Navimar Gold Antifouling AF-600: 2 x 90 µ dft. for 18–24 months protection.
Life time expectation depends on many factors beyond our control such as vessel’s speed and sailing pattern, seawater and temperature. Therefore the above stated antifouling specification should be used for guidance only. Consult your Navimar representative for more information.
Health and Safety
Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) (available upon request) should be checked for information about the specific hazards of the materials to be used and the Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for information on how they should be used. When using antifoulings, the specific legal requirements within the country of application should also be checked. Product contains flammable materials. Harmful by inhalation and in contact with skin. Irritating to eyes and skin. Wear suitable protective goggles, clothing and gloves. Do not breathe vapor/spray. In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. This product should be kept away from open flames and sparks. Smoking in the area is strictly forbidden.
